Annie Hart is a New York City-based composer, songwriter, and performer who breaks boundaries by composing music in her own distinctive self-taught style.  Her minimal pop songs explore the fringes of new wave, pop, and ambient music; and have been called “sumptuous synth-pop’ by Vogue.

She made her name with David Lynch favorites and Twin Peaks alums, synth trio Au Revoir Simone; and has since branched into a swift-moving solo career.  Between 2017 and the present, she released four critically-acclaimed solo albums and completed several world tours.  Her fun, sensitive, and eclectic live show features her playing multiple instruments, live looping, and animated projections.  She’s traveled with Fred Armisen, Alexis Taylor, Madeline Kenney and A. Savage; and shared stages with Saint Etienne, Delicate Steve, and Marissa Nadler, among others.  Her reputation as a unique master of composition on analog synthesizers has led her to compose the scores for two feature films, several shorts, and receive the prestigious 2023 ASCAP Henry Mancini Fellowship for emerging film composers.  She has also received  several grants for public performance of her chamber works.
