El Perro del Mar’s career spans over fifteen years now. During these years she’s proved to be an ever non-stopping evolving artist starting off with her debut album from 2005 which took her personal melancholy twist on Phil Spector pop soaring all over the world. Since then she’s released six albums which all have been a natural leap from the other. 2016’s album “KoKoro” started off a political stance from which she’s continued to draw from, something that’s been evident in the latest years releases ”We Are History”(2018) and ”FREE LAND”(2020). ”FREE LAND” came out of El Perro del Mar having spent time in a closed down MoMa in Stockholm exploring the meaning and need of free art in society. El Perro del Mar recently released the commissioned music score made by her and her close partner and colleague Jacob Haage for the dance work ”RIPTIDE” which premiered at The Royal Swedish Opera in February 2023. With all this in mind – you’ll never quite know what to expect from El Perro del Mar.
